Calthor­pe has been care­ful­ly devel­oped as a bespoke res­i­den­tial home to meet the com­plex needs of two young peo­ple

This spe­cial­ist set­ting reflects our com­mit­ment to per­son­alised, ther­a­peu­tic care and has been designed to sup­port long-term place­ments in a calm and sta­ble envi­ron­ment.


Who Calthorpe Supports

Calthor­pe is tai­lored for young peo­ple who:

  • Have emo­tion­al and behav­iour­al dif­fi­cul­ties

  • Require sup­port with com­plex health and social care needs

  • Have a his­to­ry of inse­cure attach­ments and chal­leng­ing behav­iours

  • May present with phys­i­cal­ly aggres­sive behav­iour

  • Can­not live in group set­tings with younger chil­dren


Placement Criteria

Calthor­pe is not suit­able for young peo­ple who:

  • Have phys­i­cal dis­abil­i­ties

  • Have severe learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties

  • Expe­ri­ence acute men­tal health crises

  • Have severe drug depen­den­cy

  • Are iden­ti­fied fire-set­ters, as the prop­er­ty does not have a sprin­kler sys­tem

Due to the tai­lored nature of the home, same-day place­ments are not accept­ed.
