Edu­ca­tion is one of the cor­ner­stones upon which to build a child’s resilience. It pro­vides struc­ture to the day, a sense of pur­pose and achieve­ment. We believe that every young per­son has some­thing to offer and, giv­en the right envi­ron­ment, can learn. At Clover Child­care Ser­vices we like to recog­nise and reward even the small­est of achieve­ments to raise self-esteem and rekin­dle a young person’s inter­est in learn­ing.

On the grounds of The Old Rec­to­ry we have our own school called The Sta­bles Inde­pen­dent School.

Our Head­teach­ers Wel­come from Sarah Porter:

“The Sta­bles Inde­pen­dent School is an edu­ca­tion­al pro­vi­sion for pupils in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 (5–14 years old). We are a spe­cial­ist pro­vi­sion sup­port­ing Looked After pupils with unmet trau­ma and attach­ment needs. We have a unique rela­tion­ship with Clover Child­care Ser­vices and work in close part­ner­ship sup­port chil­dren with expe­ri­ences of devel­op­men­tal trau­ma, to heal and grow emo­tion­al­ly using the prin­ci­ples of Dyadic Devel­op­men­tal Prac­tice (DDP) and the atti­tude of PACE (play­ful­ness, accep­tance, curios­i­ty and empa­thy).

We believe that home and school should work togeth­er, and par­ents and car­ers should be well informed, able to share in their child’s achieve­ments and wel­fare, and able to sup­port the school in their child’s learn­ing.

Every mem­ber of our school com­mu­ni­ty is excep­tion­al­ly proud to be part of The Sta­ble Inde­pen­dent School. We have a unique and engag­ing learn­ing envi­ron­ment and small class sizes with a high ratio of staff to pupils. The staff at The Sta­bles are an enthu­si­as­tic and hard-work­ing team who pro­vide our chil­dren with a range of learn­ing and expe­ri­ences. The pro­pri­etors and senior lead­er­ship team work to pro­vide a well-struc­tured devel­op­ment process that will take our chil­dren through their time with us and pre­pare them well for their next place­ment.”

The Sta­bles Inde­pen­dent School is reg­is­tered to acco­mo­date 22 pupils in total who all of which have a social work­er and SEND needs. Refer­rals for school place­ments must be made sep­a­rate­ly to res­i­den­tial place­ments by con­tact­ing Dan Knight (Pro­pri­etor of The Sta­bles Inde­pen­dent School) on dan.knight@cloverchildcareservices.co.uk.
