Training, Supervision and Consultation

We offer a number of training packages for professionals that work with looked after children.

At Clover, we can offer PACE training (DDPi approved training course, fully certificated) through staff that are recommended DDPi PACE trainers. We have trained residential childcare professionals, foster carers, social workers, psychologists and more. This has been such a great experience for us and  have so much welcomed the opportunity to support such valuable work.

DDP PACE Training to Foster Carers/Social Workers – (Click Here for more information ).

Three short days to fit around school (10 – 2.00pm), on line or in person, with the addition of ongoing supervision and consultation sessions to really deepen the experience and provide opportunities to develop the skills. We find that Carers and Social Workers are so great at making sense of the child’s behaviour in the context of the trauma the children have experienced but it can be much harder to translate this theory into practice without support and the opportunity to practice and rehearse responses etc.

Consultation/Supervision

We would then like to follow up with four consultation sessions in the year, open to all those who have completed PACE training to deepen understanding and practice skills.

Psychotherapy

We also have the opportunity to offer families, where appropriate, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy sessions between a main attachment figure and the child. This will also include some 1:1 work/supervision/support with the main attachment figure.
