Training, Supervision & Consultation

At Clover Childcare Services, we are passionate about supporting professionals who work with looked after children. Through our tailored training, supervision, and consultation services, we help carers and practitioners develop the skills and confidence needed to build meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children affected by trauma.

PACE Training – DDP-Informed and Fully Accredited

We offer PACE training, a DDPi-approved and fully certified course, delivered by staff who are recommended PACE trainers through the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Institute (DDPi).

We’ve proudly delivered training to:

  • Foster carers

  • Residential childcare professionals

  • Social workers

  • Psychologists

  • And other professionals working in therapeutic and trauma-informed care

These sessions have been deeply rewarding for us, and we are always grateful for the opportunity to support such impactful and compassionate work.

Flexible, Accessible Training Format

Our training is delivered over three short days (10:00am – 2:00pm), either online or in-person, designed to fit around school schedules and work commitments.

We go beyond the training itself by offering ongoing supervision and consultation to ensure the skills are embedded into day-to-day practice. While many professionals understand the theory behind trauma and attachment, we recognise how challenging it can be to put that theory into practice—especially without the space to reflect, rehearse, and receive support.

Ongoing Consultation & Supervision

To deepen the learning and strengthen long-term impact, we offer a series of four consultation sessions per year for all participants who complete our PACE training. These sessions provide:

  • Continued support from our experienced practitioners

  • Opportunities to reflect on practice

  • Guidance in applying PACE principles in real-world scenarios

Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)

For families and care teams where appropriate, we also offer Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy sessions, involving the child and their main attachment figure. This therapeutic process may also include:

  • 1:1 support and supervision for the adult attachment figure

  • Guidance in responding therapeutically to the child’s emotional and behavioural needs
